You can delete your Trading Journal Pro account at any time. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data when you do.
How to Delete Your Account In-App
The quickest way to delete your account is directly within the Trading Journal Pro app. Follow these steps:
- Open the Trading Journal Pro app and navigate to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page.
- Tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm your email address in the text field provided.
- Check the confirmation box acknowledging that deletion is permanent.
- Tap the "Delete" button to confirm.
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- All trades -- every trade record you have logged
- All trading accounts -- account configurations and balance history
- All strategies -- strategy definitions and associated data
- All journal notes -- notes attached to trades and sessions
- All preferences -- theme, settings, currency, timezone, and notification preferences
- Authentication data -- your email, profile, and login credentials
- AI chat history -- all conversations with AI analysis features
- Uploaded images -- trade screenshots and chart images
- Usage data -- feature usage counts and session data
Important Information
Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Please export any data you wish to keep before deleting your account.
- Your data is deleted from Supabase servers within 30 days of account deletion.
- Data retained in backups is removed within 90 days.
- Certain records (such as consent records and billing records) may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law.
- If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it separately through Google Play or the Apple App Store to prevent further charges. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.
Alternative: Request Deletion by Email
If you are unable to delete your account through the app, you can request account deletion by contacting us directly:
Please include the following in your email:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your Trading Journal Pro account
We will process your deletion request within 30 days and confirm once your account and data have been removed.
